Moroccan champions Said Oubaya and Fatima Zahra Chajai clinched two gold medals at the international “Karate Premier League Antalya” tournament, held from March 15-17 in Antalya, Turkey.
Oubaya claimed the gold medal in the under-67 kg category, outperforming Italian Maresca Luca who took silver and Japanese Kozaki Yugo who secured the bronze.
In a parallel triumph, Fatima Zahra Chajai emerged victorious in the under-61 kg category, with Belgian Ajaray Maryam earning the silver medal and Kazakh Kanay Assel taking home the bronze.
The tournament brought together some of the world’s best “karatekas” following its inaugural event in Paris earlier this year on January 26-28, 2024.
The next Karate Premier League tournaments will be held in Cairo on April 19-21, 2024, and in Casablanca on May 31-June 2, 2024.
